We have all seen the World Cup Excel sheets that have been going around with the schedule and area to place the goals of the World Cup matches, diagnosis but it really is a pain to open up Excel and enter that data.

Luckily they are some big fans of football and also know how to code. I have been using this programE-Link.it – Germany 2006 to keep track of the games and use its update feature to enter the goals. I have it on my work (windows) and on my home (Mac) computers and it works perfectly.

It is a great companion for the World Cup.

I have been watching the World Cup and well haven’t been disappointed, rx but its not that entertaining especially in the 2nd half. So when reading this article on the BBC England make water plea to Fifa, and then seeing the game just now Portugal and Angola and seeing the sweat on the players’ shirts it made sense.

The guys are just tried by 20-30 minutes into the first half, and by the second they are still recuperating from the half time.

It looks like they discussed this back in World Cup 2002, and were thinking of a 90 second break between the halves already creating 4 period games for water breaks.

I am really not sure about the breaks, it could really change the feeling of the game, but players need to drink and keep hydrated. In the 2002 Fifa decided not to do any changes since they were in the middle of a tournament and most likely will do the same thing for this one.

Hating the Arabic World Cup Commentary

The Arabic commentary for the World Cup games is driving me crazy the guy is speaking out of his ass and just goes off on tangents and I dont know what. He just doesn’t shut up.

I saw on the bottom of the game that there is a way to switch to English commentary by going to WolrdCup.3 at a certain frequency but can’t seem to find it

Anyone know how to get it working for English?

Update: Finally some how it automagically showed up after searching and adding. It was so nice to hear a nice British commentator giving nice tidbits, physician being quiet when nothing was going on and giving a respectable commentary.
