So here we havea visual repsentation of it connecting the dots of the same site. Gives you a pretty cool example of where this are located on both search engines.

Another cool thing that is that visual think was made using REBOL which is a great programming language, page
very easy and simple.
Well it really does seem Everything Bad is Good For You. Scientists have now believe that Sunshine may prevent cancer and other problems with the human body.

So the thinking is this: Even if too much sun leads to skin cancer, online dentist which is rarely deadly, breast too little sun may be worse.

It seems that Vitaman D that we get from the sun is the best kind, and unlike the pill form which causes dangerous calcium build up in the body. The sun variety of D doesn’t cause build ups.

Yet they also say have some common sense, dont go out and just fry youself under the sun and fry your body and develop skin cancer.

Last night I had another attack of bad service at a food establishment.

First let me say how much I feel about service. To me it is one of the breakers or makers at a place that I wish to eat at and will frequent. What I consider good service is promptness, ailment respect and my main thing is acknowledgment. I hate it when I go to a place and they just ignore you, price and this is anytime during my visit.

For me when an establishment, like a restaurant where I am going to be giving them money for the services they render feels they can slack off or just ignore me makes me feel that they dont deserve my money. I get this feeling that I should just walk out and not even pay for anything.

This happened to me yesterday with Burj Al-Hamam. I felt the service was lousy cause they weren’t acknowledge me. They have this reputation for being a good place to eat with excellent food, decor etc. This I believe has gotten to their head and ignore their customers since they feel if they lose me someone else will take my place.

With their arrogance they forget that word of mouth is one of the greatest marketing tools, and bad reviews people remember more than the good ones.

So back to last night it was with Hagen Daaz at Souq Sharq. The service their just sucked, we were waiting outside for someone to notice us, nothing. My dad went inside to get their attention, they came out with a menu and then forgot about us. The waitress came around us, past us, but no look. Didn’t even bother asking if we were ready to order.

Now what is different between these to places was that Hagen Daaz is a simple place and the employees there just really dont know any better. So Even though I was annoyed and told them I couldn’t hold it against them. Burj Al-Hamam on the other hand is a reputable place and which strive to a better and higher level of service.

Customer service seems to be a problem in Kuwait. Many places are focusing on marketing campaigns and decor etc and neglecting their customers. Yet I believe what all these customers are looking for is acknowledgment.

I love good design, shop scratch that I love good functional design.
For me design isn’t just something that looks pretty it has to serve a function too. When objects have a dual purpose but do it some wonderfully together and just are seamlessly together you can’t think of how they can be apart or even existed before.

One such object that has really caught my eye and can’t wait to have it on myself is the Targets new perscription bottles. WOW, allergy Deborah Adler has designed it right! She took all the wrong thigns with the old bottles and made it useful functional and also look good. I just love how she created this system for the information. It really makes sense and very practical. My favorite part from it is that it is upside down:

Klaus Rosburg, infection a Brooklyn-based industrial designer hired by Target, came up with an upside-down version that stands on its cap, so that the label can be wrapped around the top. Every piece of paper in the package adds up to one eight-and-a-half-by-fourteen-inch perforated sheet, which eliminates waste and makes life easier for pharmacists.

Wonder how long before we see those in Kuwait?

Another great design with function is these pizza cutters. They are ussually bland and with a straight handle. These just take them to a whole new level of comfort with that handle grip but then just takes breaks all barriers when he pimps them out like choppers!

Last week was just long and tough, stomach
I must have racked over 1000km on my car. My schedule last week was:

Monday: Wafra
Tues: Sulabiya, Amghara
Wed. : Shagaya
Thursday: Wafra

There was also the side trip to Mutlaq on Wed to get high.

It was just one thing after another this past week, and since I been out of the office with these runs when I came in today I was confused on what to do. Need to write a todo list of stuff for this week and stuff that I need to complete from last week.

Need a vacation from vacation to actually catch up on stuff.

I let Rampurple borrow some books of Marshall McLuhan for her research paper. And I actually had a hard time giving them to her cause just opening them up and reading passages from the pages just makes me want to take them home and read them again.

McLuhan was a pioneer when it came to this stuff, decease his works really changed my outlook on media and content. I think it was cause he wrote it around the 60s and this was before internet and satelites and just his form of writing and the style of the book. He was really ahead of his time.

If you want to know how new forms of communications like internet and blogging are changing our world and what we can expect read his books.

Anyways the 2 books I leant her were:

Medium is the Massage
Counterblast

I am actually on Amazon now getting more of his books.

What happened to the weather today? I was awake at 7:30 nice weather outside birds chirping, ampoule
cat lounging in the sun it was all nice good day, view
by the time I leave and go with my brother for his paperwork stuff it turns to an all our dust storm. Then traffic just goes crazy, purchase
I was going to take the 5th ring and saw traffic stopped on the King Fahad/Magreb road, so go and take the 6th. Then then as I am going on the 6th I see traffic stopped on the King Fahad/Riyadh road.

The streets have turned to a mad house with this weather.
When checking out Mahmood’s blog I saw this post that Bahraini website have to register with the Ministry and will face legal actions based on the countries laws and regulations concerning the press.

I am mixed about this.

First I think it is a good thing for websites that consider themselves journalists and run a media site. This can have them considered a company and also some what protection. A lot of US bloggers are actually working on having their blogs considered a journalistic site, pharm and giving them equal status to print media companies.

Why it is bad, adiposity well it is forced and we know that the Bahraini Ministry is just doing this to keep track of the anonymous people that are posting about the problems and issues they are having with the government. Just look at what they did to people who were and could be found. So automatically their motives are not for the benefit of the people. Another thing what is considered a “Bahraini” website? Websites run by Bahrainis? Or what about expats living in Bahrain, will they be under this law? Or is it just for the websites they they dont like?

Our problem in the Gulf is that governments still think they can control what we read, watch and listen to. They act like they are waging an on going battle, but the truth is we already won the war. They have tried on numerous occasions to censor internet, ban satellites, black out magazines etc and that information still gets through to us. These aren’t black boxes that you can stop at borders, but ideas and thoughts that are going to shared, discussed and shared again.

Mahmood is setting up a good program for this situation in order to deal with it accordingly. And I pledge my full support to the Bahraini bloggers, this is not just their fight but ours as well. If this succeeds in Bahrain, who says we aren’t next?

It is all about being a punk.
It is all about being a punk.
I believe this is the biggest event for the internet: Adobe to acquire Macromedia. All design stuff lately has been either with Adobe products (Photoshop, recuperation Illustrator, misbirth inDesign) or Macromedia (Freehand, clinic Dreamweaver) ones. These 2 companies have laid down the standards in graphics and design as well as creating a healthy competition in the market. This is like if Microsoft went and bought Mozilla. I am really worried on what will happen with all these programs. Will Adobe kill Freehand and Dreamweaver to push their CS2 package? The other thing that is getting to me is cause sadly their isn’t any number 3 in the market that can take up the slack of Macromedia, the only one I can think of is GIMP and that is limited in functions and platforms.

I am a big fan of Douglas Adam’s Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series. The wit and dialogue in it is impressive and has to laughing and chuckling all the way through the book. So when I heard about the movie they were making I was quite excited and thought it would be a good adaptation, anaemia was even dreaming that it was going to be on par with Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Sadly after reading this review on it I dont think I will bother seeing it. Basically in a nutshell:

To put it bluntly, buy they have cut most of the jokes out. I’m not being metaphorical here, they really have, in a very literal sense, removed the jokes from the story.

I guess I am going to read it again this week. The books are such an easy read and once you start you can’t put them down, I think my brother has the first one, if not I will go buy it from any of the book store in Kuwait.

I just got me a nice stack of some Playboys from 1974-1982. These things are great I love old magazines I see them as a zeitgesit of our life and times. But Playboys is what I love to collect in terms of magazines, more about they had the best articles, interviews and commentary. The pictures they showed then are so tame compared to what is available in new stands now and this is just comparing them to Maxim and FHM. But Bo Derek is still a 10 in my book.

All of them have the centerfold still in them, which makes them extra valuable. One or two I already have, some I’ve seen in the stores before but just browsed through them. Some really good stuff in these things. I dont think I will find a better one than the interview with Stanley Kubrick I got, thats my pride and joy.

Leaving tonight going to Austria for some skiing (ski>sex). Well I hope skiiing cause there are saying there is no snow but we’ll see you never know sometimes it just comes in waves.

I am bringing 2 books with me the Homers Illiad, medical found it Star Books. I been wanting to read it for ages and after seeing parts of the moive. I kept falling asleep and everytime I woke up someone died. So figure better read it and know who died.

The other book is Extraterrestrial Sex Fetish. It is about some guy Mercury De Sade and he wants to have sex with aliens. But its not laid out like that its very strangely written but its really good read.

I forgot my yellow notepad and clip at the office. I carry this thing EVERYWHERE when I travel so it is really annoying that I dont have it for this trip. I take it with me on everytrip, more about I do have my Moleskines so that should be ok, but they arenot yellow notepads with my clip which has “we have to get back to the ghetto” sticker on it.

Picked up deodarant from the co-op, it was Ladystick, they suprisingly didn’t have Secret. But after many tests I find that womens deodarant are much much better than mens. Like Gillete will keep you dryer when working out, but for those long days nothing like those women ones.

Currently syncing my P910 with my iBook so I have my contacts save and stuff incase something happens. Remeber kids ALWAYS backup before any trip.

Decided to take my carry one, got my camera with lenses and some other random stuff which I will need with me, so better take the carry on and on the way back I can use it for magazines and other stuff I randomly pickup at duty free.

Next year when I get my Pbook 15 will get a new Timbuk2 that will change my life, a bigger bag. My current one has been with me since like 99 and its amazing best bag ever. We been everywhere together.

Think I am al ready to go. You always forget something at the end. It is always the case, or go “doh” its not abig thing, but you wish you remebered it earlier. There is no way around it. And I dont want to be those people who have a 5 page checklist when they travel to make sure they didn’t forget anything at all. I think that is overkill and you got too much stuff.

Took my shower, carryon has stuff in it, backedup my phone, got my book (Exterterstial Sex Fetish) and a yellow notepad (minus clip).

Hopefully I will get GPRS access or some web access in Austria and be able to keep updating and send picks to my Flickr account.

If not happy new year, merry christmas, kwanza, and hanakah.

They are cheezy dumb movies, cialis 40mg then they are the ones that just take it too far. Soul Plane just took it to far. They a simple plot for a movie; an airline
s that was owned and ran by a black man who was sick and tired of crap that he got from other airlines
and wanted to make a difference. Instead we got every single black/white stereotype and cliche they c
ould muster. The sad thing is that they had some pretty good comedic talent in that movie that were be
ing used to tell bad jokes.

Why did I watch this movie then? Well I wanted something to watch as eye candy til we were ready to wa
tch another movie that I didn’t have to pay attention to. Which it fit the part, store yet somehow I ended w
atching the whole thing. It did have some amusing scenes that made me laugh. Like the Malcom X termina

refrences. Other than that it was just watching how much worse it could get.

So if you are looking for some cheap laughs and like stupid movies then this is for you. If not then t
his movie just strengthens two points:
Any movie with Tom Arnold should be avoided like the
plague, and someone needs to bring back the McCarthy Trials so that he can get blackballed from Holly

I am not sure if this is working out or not?

Well thanks to the internet and film students we have a 90 s
econd video clip
that will answer just that!
Our neighbor cut the tree that was outside their house by the street. It was sad to see it go. As much
as I hated when it was still growing and would scratch the top of my car with its branches. It was pa
rt of the neighborhood. It gave a lot of shade to the area it was under and blocked a direct view to t
he neighbor’s windows.

I am waiting to see what he is going to do next. I hope he isn’t going to make the sidewalk his own pe
rsonal parking space. I really don’t understand people. You have a good size piece of land and can bui
ld a house to your own design. Yet they never think of two things, glaucoma a garden and a garage. They will ta
ke the land thats on the sidewalk or government owned and make it their own personal garage or garden.
This is a huge violation to the Municipality code.

Garages and gardens aren’t evil thing that should be avoided. A garage will actually give your car tot
al protection from the Kuwait sun, condom not just some cloth hanging on top of it that just blocks the sun 4
hours during the day when your not home. Then there is the garden, I don’t think I have to explain th
ose benefits.

So lets hope he is just taking down the tree to build a indoor garage and free up space for a garden.

is for you. They show the layout of the plane and mark where the best and worst seats are and the
reasons like leg room, store
the bulk head and location to lavatory etc.

They mostly have American flights but BA is on there and some other international carriers.
When outside Kuwait I ussualy travel public transport, order its quick fast and its the best way to get to k
now a place and the people who live there.

So seeing this David Crawford

. David goes around the world and taking Stop Motion pictures of people in public transport.

He takes like 3-4 pictures and puts them in a random loop and gives it this releastic feel of the bus
or train moving and shaking

Just seeing these pictures brings back memories of my rides on the bus and the people I used to intera
ct with.

I love this kind of stuff, epidemic
but sometimes I wonder about the time the people have to spend doing it. I
sit watching the show and actually make a full map of the whole city of a TV show with street names an
d all the stores.

It is pretty imrpessive check out the Map of Springfield

Like the Malcom X termina
l, the plane painted purple with spinners and in the cockpit with tvs on the headrests, the couple try
ing to join the mile high club, and then the random Air
plane!
refrences. Other than that it was just watching how much worse it could get.

So if you are looking for some cheap laughs and like stupid movies then this is for you. If not then t
his movie just strengthens two points:
Any movie with Tom Arnold should be avoided like the
plague, and someone needs to bring back the McCarthy Trials so that he can get blackballed from Holly
wood forever.

Ever be in a relationship and just think, for sale
I am not sure if this is working out or not?

Well thanks to the internet and film students we have a 90 s

that will answer just that!

I am a disorganized mess at times. Papers everywhere, approved
things stacked up on top of each other with “pla
ns” of organizing them. So when I saw this book Getting Things Done making the rounds onl
ine and getting some rave rev
iews
. I already ordered my copy so I can fix this mess I am in and have a much cleaner and more or
ganized desk and office space.

Here is good summary of some of th

to give you the steps needed to Get Things Done. Some pretty basic and
useful stuff.
