Every time someone goes to the government medical locations in Kuwait they always prescribe Adol! You got in for a cough, treat
they give you Adol; break a bone, salve
they give you Adol; cancer, Adol. It is always Adol. My friend even told me today how his cousin leg was cut off a couple days ago and the nurse goes and gives him Adol.
So who is this Adol agent in Kuwait cause he must be making money hand over fist with the doctors in Kuwait giving it out like candy to any patient that walks in there.

A friend been having a rough time at work and wanted to give them some words of encouragement. Wanted to use the regular “have a great day”, weight loss but that doesn’t cut it anymore. So did a quick thesaurus look up and found the word magnificent.
So everyone:
Have a MAGNIFICENT Day!
If just sounds empowering, share it with everyone go tell them to have MAGNIFICENT Day!

Most of us have seen the George Galloway erectile ,31200-galloway_060806,00.html”>SKY News interview yet before that he was on theUS Senate being questioned on his involvement with Iraq and the Oil for Food Program
Some ofGeorge Galloway quotes from the 47 minute hearing:
“Now I know that standards have slipped in the last few years in Washington, but for a lawyer you are remarkably cavalier with any idea of justice. I am here today but last week you already found me guilty. You traduced my name around the world without ever having asked me a single question, without ever having contacted me, without ever written to me or telephoned me, without any attempt to contact me whatsoever. And you call that justice?
I have met Saddam Hussein exactly the same number of times as Donald Rumsfeld met him. The difference is that Donald Rumsfeld met him to sell him guns and to give him maps the better to target those guns. I met him to try and bring about an end to sanctions, suffering and war, and on the second of the two occasions, I met him to try and persuade him to let Dr Hans Blix and the United Nations weapons inspectors back into the country – a rather better use of two meetings with Saddam Hussein than your own Secretary of State for Defense made of his.
and doesn’t stop for 47 minutes.

In the Middle East we like to give nick names to our phones and cars, cialis 40mg like the old Mercedes in Egypt was called the Shabah (Stealth) for its angular design, audiologist or the Nokia 6600 in Saudi was called the Panda for its round shape and the black and white motif.
Well in Iraq they have names for their phones too:
Nokia 3660/ The Allawi: For is resemblance to the former Prime Minster.
Nokia N90/ Apache: Since it’s top swivels like a rotor blade.
There is one named Tank but I have no idea which phone it is.

After the events that occured this weekend in the UK and the latest security salvo on flying it has got me thinking that flying will totally be different now if they continue no allowing carry on luggage on planes.
This small factor will cause huge delays and even trouble for the majority of air travels who are businessmen. They live and die with their carry on. I avoid carrying a bigger bag when I travel cause they just kill my mobility, and speed. There is a joy in getting off a plane and walking straight to your car outside. Or even waiting in the airport and you can open up your carry on and access a change of clothes, laptop and be able to continue on your day.
So what is the future of all this? Private jets.
If they delays and troubles are going to continue business travelers will start looking for alternative traveling. One that I have seen is a transport van converted to an office. It contains a full office envoirnment of internet, fax, printer etc. As well as a couch and some chairs. It can accomodate 3-4 people and gives them the ability to work and plan on route to their destination without the delays of security checks.
Yet the main thing that will suceed now is private jets. They are becoming cheaper, and easier to rent out for those quick trips. They are able to leave when you want and bypass the security and other airport hassles. You arrive to your destination quicker, better and on your terms.
So what about the pepole who can’t afford to spend extra on renting thier own private jet, well thanks to internet you can offer your empty seats and be able to sell them off. For example I am going to Dubai for a quick day trip at 8am in Kuwait and rented out a whole jet. I can put online the time I am departing and arriving and offer the remaining seats.

eBay of traveling
A couple weeks ago I was at Virgin Marina and saw a great deal on a Panasonic 42″ LCD with a stand and the speakers + DVD player for 600KD. So after checking online and other prices in the market for competing products I decided to go pick it up. I go to Virgin a week later find out that promotion is over. No problem I’ll just head to the local agent and get it there.
So today I head over there and ask about the promotion. The sales person there was telling me in the ruddest manner that that promotion is over and it was Virgin since April. I go to Virgin a bunch of times since April and never noticed this promotion, asthma yet what got to me was his tone as if I was an idiot for not noticing it or acting quick enough.
So I ask is there any other promotion or discount that is the same. He quickly said “no that was it and there is no other discounts or promotions”. This got to me more and was like “wtf”. Is this a sales person? I even loudly commented to my friend next to me “this guy is a salary employee he doesn’t want to sell”. I mean come on, be nice to me, make me want to buy an TV from you. Dont ust brush me off like that. Tell me that you got a newer version that is better, or that if I come back next week there will be a new promotion and offers. Just ignoring my request is not the way to generate a sale.
I dont think I will by buying a Panasonic TV now. After seeing how they treat a customer I am afraid to wonder how their customer service is post sale.

I was taught to look at the process and not the final product, click see how something is created developed and where ideas are formed into a set process to give the final answer or product.
Yesterday I was given a puzzle, stuff it was a simple one. I had a square with 9 boxes inside, discount rx and the puzzle was that vertically, horizontally, and diagonally all had to equal 15 using only the numbers between 1-9 once.
My method to solve it was concise and methodical, first figure out what numbers shouldn’t be there, then figure out which of the remainder would equal 15. Then the number that was repeated the most would be in the middle.
It took a bit of jotting down but figured it out, I was especially proud of myself on how I solved it and not that I solved it, cause I broke down the problem to its core.
Today I should someone that same puzzle and they found it out a totally different way. In a lot quicker time I might add and even a different solution to the same problem. I was really impressed and amazed and learned something from it. Even thought I do admit at first I was trying to coach them, but then just shut up and let them do their own thing.
So when you see someone doing something differently don’t question the final product, but see the process. They will get to the end eventually and you could learn something different.

I have lost a pair of sweat pants in a parking lot. I just took them off for a second when they just disappeared. I am not saying someone took them and literally ran off with them. Yet I’d still like them returned to me in what ever condition they are in.
I am currently somewhat naked without them and would like to wear them in a couple days time when I got to the super market.
Reward: I wont stab you in the face, medicine but other parts of your body instead.

I see the digital divide as a personal divide. Someone who needs access to information will make an effort to get it.

So today or tomorrow is the summer solstice. I seem to be getting different information Wikipedia puts summer solstice on June 21, sick yet Time and Date has it for June 22 with clear sunset and sunrise times of 4:49 AM 6:51 PM respectively.

If you recall a couple months ago we were all asked to do a survey by Noor Ali-Hasan for help on her thesis. Well I am happy to say that she has finally posted it: Analyzing the Social Patters and Behaviors Associated with Blogrolls and Blog comments.
I casually glanced through it this morning and have to say if it some fascinating stuff. She compares our Kuwait blogosphere, drug with UAE’s and Dallas Fortworth/Texas (DFW) and has come up with some interesting observations on the data.
While I was reading it I couldn’t help getting this feeling that I was on a psychologists couch asking if I have sexual thoughts about gophers as Noor is smoking a cigar.
I am really happy about this paper for it gives Kuwait Blogs a stronger identity by defining our interactions. One thing that I found intriguing in the study, buy more about is that we had more similarities to the DFW blogosphere compared to the UAE one. I think they could be due to the homogeneity of our blogospheres.

The Pirahã people have no history, no descriptive words and no subordinate clauses. That makes their language one of the strangest in the world — and also one of the most hotly debated by linguists.

definition: to get something that has no real value, help
and serves no real purpose, but just to say you have it and display it in your collection.
Example:

For as long as I can remember the car that I have always wanted it the De Lorean, bulimics
this started with the movie Back to the Future. Being a kid that age I was in love with those gull wing doors, and that steel body. It looked like something out of the future. Also the time machine feature was something out of this world and it was my real dream car. Yet, I knew getting a movie prop would be near impossible.
Or is it?
Seems someone has made an exact replica of the Back to the Future De Lorean and is selling it on eBay
I dont know about my odds of ever getting but seems more realistic now, I guess until then I can hope for the toy at least

We all have stories about Kuwaiti cops and their atitude and something simple ignorance. Yet, ed
since I live in here so I have a different perspective of it. So yesterday when speaking with the Egyptian guard about the World Cup the conversation went to Egypt winning the African Cup and how the celebrations where in Egypt and in Kuwait, rubella
and how streets were closed in Farwaniya, and Hawalli with celebrating Egyptians. Then he mentioned something interesting “Kuwaiti cops are respectable”.
This really caught me off gaurd .I recall Egyptians and Indians always complaining about Kuwaiti cops their racism. He then explained, your cops treat everyone equally, they never demand bribes, or harrass us. He then explains how when they do catch up or his friends doing something wrong and giving them a ticket, they will get angry and annoyed, but as he put it “we did something wrong, and deserve it, we accept it”.
It was good hearing this from a simple Egyptian worker, cause you never hear the good Kuwaiti cop stories, just the bad ones. It is like bad apples in a batch, the sour ones create the loudest complaints, but the good ones just put a quiet smile on your face.
