Long long day, sales been up since 7 and been out and out and out, came home at 5 shower change rest up a bit and head out again at 6 then back home at 1am.
You got to work hard to play hard.
I went to this great place called Living room where its this floor of a house and the interior is from the 70s but more classic style. It was just great to chill out there and talk and really time felt that it wasn’t there. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the company.REally aplace to check out if you are ever in Amman.
Later that night met up with some Jordanian bloggers and it was great hearing a different perspective of our local Kuwait blogosphere. They really enjoy us here and look at what we do and just enjoy the myriad topics and people that post. It was a really a great time talking to them about what we think about blogging, content and general relationships that occur.
I am really impressed on the blogger meetings they have here. They average around 30 or more. Which is a lot different from ours. Yet thats due to their relationships and really dont interact with each other like we do on a regular basis. I regret not being here tomorrow for their meeting, but I am also good cause I would be really embarrsed since I dont pay attention to their blogs much. I check it out every now and then and look back at archives but as a whole I dont visit regularly enough. I plan to add it their aggregator to my feed once I get home and get to know the blogosphere so when I do come back and attend the meeting I can put blogs to the faces.
It is really nice coming to a city that you been to before but havent really got to know since its business and you dont know people in the area. This time it was great I been meetings friends that I knew and getting to know new ones. It really is a great feeling to know you have a fort at every port.
Oh one thing that really freaks me out here is the sizes of some of their food establishments. Like KFC is HUGE 2 floors and an outside area, and kids area. Then you also got Starbucks, I saw this one that was bigger than my house in Kuwait, its like Jibla Strabucks in Kuwait times 5 and was completely packed.
Another cool thing I was talking to a cab driver about. I asked him what is “scarier”. A pimp as car like a Rolls with a really long number for their licsene place or a beat up broken down car with a really small plater number. He said quickily and mildly the one that is with a smaller numner. You could be driving a lada with 3 wheels down the street but your plate numner could be one, and he would fear you more than a Ferrari Enzo.
Anyways home tomorrow. Hopefully they fixed up the airport here, cause last time I was hereII gave it the name “the funeral” since it was just dark, quiet and everyone looked horrid.
So when are you coming back?
hey Nibaq, I really enjoyed meeting you.. and yes, the living room is a nice place, the meeting today was amazing.. we wished u were there!
glad you enjoyed Amman
